This will be the first publicly-offered passenger
train to travel all the way to Hoosick Junction since
our excursion back in June of 1989 .Our train will
consist of coaches and table cars from the Green

“Manchester has always been a special place for us... In summer we swim in the quarry, visit the Orvis fish pond or Northshire Bookstore. It has been our haven... When we decided to get married, we immediately chose Manchester! Each year, we will celebrate simply by returning to the village.”
Shawna Marie Way and Jean-Francois Larose of Saratoga, NY wed Dec. 11, 2010 in front of the Orvis Flagship store and then had a glorious carriage ride through the village.

Its natural beauty, its friendly residents and its laid-back style are such refreshments after having lived in the metropolitan NYC area. I invented my business, Backroad Discovery Tours, to show our visitors the people, places, history & ideas that make us so very unique and special."
