Past Challenge: Bright Ideas Campaign
In 2005-2006, we challenged you to swap out your incandescent light bulbs for CFLs- Compact Fluorescent Lights. At the project's end in April 2006, we sold 42,000 bulbs. Collectively, Manchester residents are saving $281,000 annually and $1.7 million over the bulb's lifetime in electricity costs. Likewise, 8,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions were eliminated. That equates to removing 1,412 cars from Vermont's roadways!
